Tuesday, January 18, a week before Noakai's 7 month birthday. Today, I went to work. Today, I left my baby. For 9 hours. I've never left him for more than 1 1/2 hours. We all had alot of growing up to do. And I survived. He survived. Erik survivied.
It was bittersweet to leave in the morning and a joy to return in the evening. Both Erik and I are saying to each other, now you know how I feel . . .
Noakai is such a champ, I know that more than us taking care of him, he takes care of us. We may have to feed him and clothe him, but he loves us and demands love, not just for himself, but for us to love eachother.
We always call him the love bridge, in his sleep he'll end up in between us with his arms outstretched, touching both Erik and I with one of his chubby little hands, hands that make magic.
Thank you Noey for your big heart, your forgivness for our mistakes as we learn how to be a family, to be parents. Thank you for allowing us to travel this amazing journey with you.
Today, I grew into motherhood a little bit more.
